In The Spotlight

  • This is an Olympic year, which means that the International rules that govern men's gymnastics will be changing. So, I have redesigned, restructured, and removed the site's navigation and search functions until the rules have been solidified and distributed.

Welcome

In 1998 I turned my passion for men's gymnastics into making this site, with the prospect of helping people to better understand men's gymnastics. I wanted to make a site that would be appealing to every person that visited it. Whether it's a gymnast, coach, judge or someone that has never seen men's gymnastics before.

On the top of every page is a menu bar that contains the six competitive events in men's gymnastics. They are listed in Olympic order from left to right. By clicking on one of them you will be taken to a page specifically devoted to that event. It includes the FIG description of the event, a skill chart (explains the skills, outlines the element groups and value of the skills), an example of a routine, information about the history of the event and at least two animated skills performed on that event.

This site contains rules, regulations, and routines from various governing bodies of gymnastics. Due to the nature of the sport this information is constantly being updated, and so none of the rules, regulations, or routines should be considered a supplement for those documents.

Vote to keep the 10.0 as the level of excellence to be achieved in gymnastics.
